Student support from mentors is vital to their academic, professional and personal
development. The use of technological means such as e-mentoring and Generative AI
facilitates this process, providing personalized recommendations and ongoing support.
These technologies improve communication and access to resources, creating a
supportive environment that helps students overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
The purpose of this thesis is to present and document a platform that will enhance the role
of the academic advisor in higher education. At the same time, the platform aims to
promote well-being, collaboration and a sense of belonging among students, helping them
achieve their academic and personal goals through guidance and support.
The thesis focuses on the design of an e-mentoring platform that integrates Generative AI
and is based on the Mosaic Model e-Mentoring. The Mosaic Model promotes flexibility and
a multidimensional approach, allowing students to receive personalized guidance from a
variety of mentors according to their needs (Khatchikian, Chahal, & Kielar, 2021). The
platform uses Generative AI to provide targeted recommendations and inform the mentor
in real-time about mentee performance, suggesting solutions to solve issues such as peer
to peer meetings, group meetings and mentor sessions.
Overall, the e-mentoring platform combines technology and human interaction to provide
comprehensive and personalized support to students, promoting their well-being and
development through mosaic model mentoring and Generative A.I.model and generative
artificial intelligence.
