In recent years, the diversity of classrooms has become increasingly noticeable due to the inclusive culture that is being promoted and established in all schools and classrooms. The education, training, and continuous updating of teachers on issues concerning the unique characteristics of students is more imperative than ever. The creation of a micro-MOOC aimed at training secondary education teachers on topics such as inclusive education, dyslexia, autism, and ADHD was developed following research that showed that very few micro-MOOC in the Greek community can be completed in a short period of time while aligning learning outcomes with activities.
This micro-MOOC is primarily based on the competencies proposed by the European Agency for Special Needs and Inclusive Education for teachers, and these competencies have shaped the learning outcomes of the course. The micro-MOOC consists of activities designed to keep the learner's interest and help achieve the learning outcomes. Through this project and the presentation of the micro-MOOC, it is expected to fill the gaps that may exist in the field of micro-courses and contribute to the promotion of inclusive education in the classroom. All students, regardless of their characteristics, deserve a school that will make them feel safe and see teachers as facilitators in the realization of their goals and dreams.
