Kindergarten is a critical transition for preschool children both from kindergarten and even more so to elementary school. The educational field of Greece focuses mainly on the academic performance of students. But through this MTSS support system that seeks to support students in all areas: academic, behavioral, and social-emotional, it can help institutes and members of the educational community ensure that all students participate equally in learning.
Multilevel support systems and other educational models such as RTI have become the primary method in which academic detection and intervention is provided to children (Berkeley et al., 2020, Fuchs & Vaughn, 2012, Tran et al., 2011). Early detection of difficulties or even disabilities increases the likelihood that weaknesses will be found so that students do not have to and special education interventions and supports can be designed (Haager, 2007).
In Greece, it is difficult to implement the educational intervention and evaluate kindergarten students who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
The goal of this paper is to develop and implement a training guide that will analyze the MTSS in detail and leverage the Kinems platform to help members of the educational community assess their students by offering them the best interventions that will improve their academic progress and their behavior. Through the guide they will derive information and strategies to monitor and support their students adequately and effectively by recognizing problems early and early.
