Abstract

Modern education increasingly relies on e-learning to meet learners' diverse needs and provide equitable access. This master’s thesis, titled Design and Development of an Online Course for Creating and Converting Websites Accessible to Disabled Users, presents the creation of a micro- Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) aimed at training digital creators and website owners to make websites accessible to all users. The online course utilizes a micro-learning strategy to offer specialized, short-term education that aligns with the needs of contemporary learners. The micro-MOOC was developed using the Open edX platform, which allows for easy course creation and hosting. Concluding, A key aspect of this project is raising awareness among digital content creators about the importance of accessible online content, ensuring that users with special needs have equal access to information and education.
