This study examines the impact of leadership identity on the intrinsic motivation of personnel in the workplace. Specifically, it explores how the four dimensions of leadership identity: Identity Prototypicality, Identity Advancement, Identity Entrepreneurship, and Identity Impresarioship, can effectively motivate and inspire employees. A questionnaire was used to collect data from 178 employees covering a range of work environments, age groups and levels of work experience. Participants were asked about their perceptions of their supervisor/employer's attitude and the factors that drive their motivation to be actively engaged at work. The results of the survey revealed a strong positive correlation between the leadership identity scale and the self-determination scale (r=0.28***), suggesting that employees find satisfaction and effective motivation in their supervisor/employer's attitude. In addition, the leadership scale showed a significantly positive correlation with intrinsic motivation (r=0.35***), confirming the primary focus of this study.
