Leadership, strategy as well as business transformation are today a fundamental pillar for the sustainability of modern businesses. In an ever-changing world, the need for innovation, flexibility and adaptability is more acute than ever. Leadership is one of the most decisive pillars for the success of the organization because through it a clear vision is formed, the leader is the one who directs the team to achieve the goals and at the same time motivates and inspires the employees to continue to implement the goals of the organization. also with business functions. Through the strategy, the path is paved in order to achieve the long-term goals of the organization, a clear direction is formed in order to address the possible external challenges that may exist. Then, in the era of artificial intelligence, digitalization and globalization, organizations that cannot adapt to the conditions of the era may face sustainability problems, so businesses for their part must change and transform to the demands of the time, this is achieved through strong leadership and a well-organized strategic vision so that possible changes are made in such a way that will promote the growth and sustainability of the organization. The interplay between leadership, strategy and transformation is key to business success. As we said before, in today's unstable and highly competitive environment, the ability of leaders to lead with vision and clarity, combined with choosing the right strategy, is essentially the key to successful transformation in businesses so that they can adapt to the challenges of the times.
The purpose of this diploma thesis entitled "The importance of strategy and leadership in shaping a successful business transformation" aimed to answer the following questions:
Do businesses have a specific strategy or combination of strategies to achieve the goals they have set?
How do supervisors treat their subordinates (how do you exercise leadership)?
How do employees react to change/transformation?
Is there a relationship between strategy leadership and leadership and transformation/change?
In the first 4 chapters you take a theoretical approach to the topic by analyzing the international literature and the various definitions and not only in terms of strategy, leadership and business transformation. Then and specifically in chapter 5 follows the research in which we try to answer the 4 research questions mentioned earlier. In this chapter reference is made to both the purpose and objectives of the survey, the methodology we followed, the way the data were collected as well as the sample of the survey. Chapter 6 was followed by a descriptive analysis of the survey results with both charts and pies, followed by regression analysis to see the relationship between leadership and strategy and leadership with transformation as well as dispersion diagrams. The diploma thesis was completed with the writing of the conclusions and the analysis of the research results.
