This thesis examines and analyzes the parameters and methods of management in bulk
cargo shipping. It explores the coordinated work of the crew, fleet management, personnel
management, safe navigation, and the effective execution of cargo operations.
Initially, the importance of effective management for the sustainability of the industry is
presented, and the challenges faced are analyzed, such as regulatory compliance, environmental
challenges, safety, while the role of technology in improving these aspects is highlighted.
The purpose of the thesis is to examine and analyze management methods, operational
management, problems, risks, and challenges in the shipping industry in general, and specifically
in bulk cargo shipping companies, as well as the differences between them. Additionally, the
culture of the companies is analyzed regarding operational efficiency, adaptability to change, and
environmental responsibility.
Finally, the parameters taken into account for the future of the industry are analyzed, along
with concerns about the changes that will arise from technological advancement and
environmental issues.
