The purpose of this master thesis is to create a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), with the main focus being the promotion of geoheritage value in Greece. More specifically, the implementation of this course aims to cultivate skills related to sustainable development through the international GreenComp competency framework. For this reason, the design of such a course highlights the importance of studying the environmental challenges of the 21st century. At the same time, this course provides an opportunity for learners to also develop their digital skills. The course consists of six teaching days, during which a holistic approach is taken to environmental awareness, a key competency for citizens in modern society. Consequently, the creation and design of this micro-course addresses the challenges of the digital age, to which the educational process must adapt and evolve.
