The thesis entitled "Cultural Heritage and Copyright" analyses the relationship between cultural
heritage and copyright in the context of the digital epoch of modern society. Focusing on the
impact of digital technology, the research examines how new technologies affect the
management, preservation and access to cultural heritage. The legal aspects of copyright in the
cultural heritage sector are analysed, focusing on issues such as copyright protection in a digital
environment, the balance between public access and private property, and the need for global
cooperation in the protection of cultural heritage. In addition, the research examines the role of
cultural organisations, artists and technology companies in ensuring the balance between
protection and accessibility of cultural heritage. Finally, it suggests possible strategies for
developing new approaches and policies to enhance the management and protection of cultural
heritage in the digital age. In summary, the thesis offers interesting insights into the structural
role that copyright plays in the management and protection of cultural heritage, providing
perspectives for future research and policy development.
