The master's thesis titled "User Emotion Recognition during Audiovisual Content Viewing"
focuses on understanding users' emotional reactions while watching videos. The topic was
chosen based on the increasing importance of digital communication and the challenge of
understanding emotions in the absence of physical presence. The developed application uses
Amazon's Rekognition Service to detect and analyze facial emotional expressions, recording data
and extracting conclusions about the users' emotional state while watching content on YouTube.
The system is built using technologies such as Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB, Mongoose, and
React, as well as hosting infrastructures like CyberPanel and Render.com, ensuring high
performance and security. The application possibilities of the system are numerous, ranging from
targeted marketing advertisements to government uses such as education and public order.
Emotion analysis provides valuable data for improving user experience and personalizing content.
This project contributes to the understanding of human emotional responses in digital
environments and creates new opportunities for human-machine interaction.
