Abstract
This thesis investigates the feasibility and accuracy of measuring heart rate and heart rate variability using photoplethysmography (PPG) with the built-in camera sensor of modern smartphones. The primary objective is to evaluate the effectiveness of smartphone technology in capturing these metrics and to analyze the data obtained from such measurements. Additionally, this research focuses on developing a smartphone application capable of real-time measurement, collection, and processing of heart rate data.
