The thesis analyzes the unpredictable factors affecting the development of Chinese
Shipping, focusing on the case of the COVID-19 pandemic. It aims to examine the
operational and financial impacts of the pandemic on the maritime industry, providing
new perspectives for the implementation of effective risk management strategies.
The work highlights the critical importance of resilience and flexibility in responding
to unforeseen global events and their impacts on international supply chains and the
global economy. Furthermore, it explores how new technologies and policies can
enhance the shipping sector's ability to respond to crises. This study also makes a
significant contribution to understanding the dynamics between global crises and the
economic performance of businesses in the shipping sector, suggesting methodologies
for forecasting and mitigating future risks.
