The subject of this Postgraduate Thesis is the digital era in the field of health care, on the account of its being the most important part in the lives of everyone. The purpose of this analysis is to explore the evolution of health care through innovative means. This work is divided into two parts, the first part of which is the theoretical, and the second one devoted to the relevant research. Thus, in this thesis, the role technological means play in the health care sector is presented as well as how these means contribute to its strengthening. Moreover, there is a reference to the advantages and disadvantages of telemedicine, which constitutes a "key pillar" to its development. We particularly examine the use of telemedicine amid the coronavirus pandemic. Moreover, there is a significant reference to the existing structural inequalities, as well as to the social dimensions of digital care.
On the other hand, the design requirements of the digitized health system support are also mentioned as well as those for a more Responsible Innovation, regarding this sector in general. In addition, a SWOT ANALYSIS was carried out to investigate the Strengths and Weaknesses of digital care, as well as the Opportunities and the Threats it could entail. Finally, an important part of this thesis is devoted to the research that is being conducted and aims to examine the correlation between health professionals and their position on technology issues. Important questions are posed, to which they are asked to answer through a questionnaire and are afterwards analyzed through the SPSS platform, for the necessary results and conclusions to be drawn.
