It is a fact that ever since video games were created, many people's lives have been
changed dramatically. One resorts to dealing with them video games in a multitude of situations,
such as for example in their free time or even professionally. Similarly, there are many reasons
why one may resort to the whole video games experience, such as for example to have fun, to
relax, to pass their time, to communicate with friends if there is no way to meet in person, or
even to make a living out of it.
It is obvious, as with any other sector of technology, that the possibilities and limits that
contribute towards the creation of a video game today when compared with the ones from the
time of its inception, have changed drastically. The object of this study is to create a game from
scratch. A necessary condition for the implementation of this project is the understanding of the
fundamental and basic infrastructures that contribute towards its creation. Through the study of
this paper, the reader is presented with both the basic concepts and the techniques necessary
to create a simple video game, as well as some advanced situations that represent elements
and actions found in modern day commercial games. Therefore, this study can be useful not
only to beginners, but also to people who have some experience already, with the world of
game development.
