The subject of this thesis is ΄΄Holographic MIMO Communications΄΄. In the first chapter there is a summary of the MIMO and massive MIMO technology as well as the need for a new and improved smart antenna technology for the 6th generation wireless communication systems. In the second chapter there is an analysis of holography, holographic MIMO and holographic MIMO communications. In the third chapter, the limits set by the HMIMO technology as well as a channel model that can be used for HMIMO systems, based on small-scale fading. In the fourth chapter, we will also use it to calculate the Degrees of Freedom and to compare it with a Massive MIMO system, in order to establish the limits and performance of an HMIMO communication system. Finally, chapter 5 presents the conclusions.
