This master thesis entitled "Business Strategy and Project Management: A Case Study" deals with how project management within a company is closely related to the business strategy and decisions made. The paper aims to highlight the concept of strategy and strategic management by examining the detection of the business environment, strategy formulation, implementation, evaluation, and control. At the same time, an extensive analysis is given on project management and its key functions, and modern project management methodologies are presented in a concise manner. Choosing the appropriate project management methodology and implementing its practices is a critical decision that can have a significant impact on project results and business sustainability. Strategic Project Management ensures that, for each project undertaken that is directly linked to the strategic objectives of the project, it is aligned with the broader business objectives. The research methodology combines theoretical grounding and empirical analysis to provide a comprehensive understanding of the reference framework, as well as a case study, which examines Sword Services Greece and provides a hypothetical example of project management between Sword Services Greece and the European Medicines Agency using the PRINCE2 methodology. By critically analyzing the project management of an IT company, the research provides valuable insights into the strategic choices applied and how project management is aligned with the business strategy.
