The thesis entitled "Comparative Analysis of Artificial Intelligence Algorithms in Market Segmentation: A Case Study with Online Retail Data" explores the intersection of market segmentation and artificial intelligence (AI) in the context of online retailing. In the introduction (Chapter 1), the importance of market segmentation and its improvement through AI is highlighted, using an online retail dataset. The research problem focuses on the evaluation of artificial intelligence algorithms for market segmentation, justified for both academic and practical importance. The objectives of the study focus on evaluating the effectiveness of selected AI algorithms. Specific research questions are formulated and scope and limitations, such as data limitations, are described.
The literature review (Chapter 2) covers theories of market segmentation, applications of AI in marketing, and a detailed investigation of AI algorithms for market segmentation, with reference to relevant studies. In the methodology (Chapter 3), the data set for e-retailing is described, as well as the data collection and pre-processing steps. The selection of AI algorithms is justified, and the experimental design details the parameters, segments, and evaluation metrics for comparing the performance of the algorithms.
The results (Chapter 4) are presented in descriptive and analytical form, presenting a comparative analysis of AI algorithms, their market segmentation performance and benchmarking against each other. Conclusions are drawn from the results for useful conclusions. The discussion (Chapter 5) interprets the findings in the context of market segmentation, relating them to the existing literature. Limitations and challenges encountered during the course of the study, both in the implementation and interpretation of the TN algorithms, are addressed. This comprehensive study contributes valuable insights into the integration of AI into market segmentation strategies for e-retailing.
