Abstract

The main objective of the thesis is to define the vulnerability of people aged 50+ during the COVID era. Initially, we will analyze the concept of vulnerability at a theoretical level and attempt to comprehend this specific notion. CODIV had a significant impact on humanity in various aspects and across all age groups. For the elderly, the difficulties were even greater, affecting them psychologically, physically, and economically. In this thesis, we will utilize the data from the 8th wave of the SHARE (Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe) since it includes a questionnaire adapted to the pandemic of the 8th wave. The primary purpose of the statistical analysis is to attempt to analyze various risk factors that make individuals over the age of 50 more vulnerable to the COVID 19 disease.
