The burnout of primary school teachers is a serious issue that can have negative consequences for both teachers and students. It is characterized by feelings of fatigue, frustration and lack of joy when it comes to teaching. This can cause teachers to feel overwhelmed, lose interest in their work and become less effective. As teachers face increasing demands from both parents and colleagues or principals, it can be difficult to find the energy and drive to provide the best possible education for their students. This can lead to a state of physical and emotional exhaustion that can have long-term negative effects.
The professional competence of a primary school principal is essential to ensure that students receive the best possible education. The professional competencies of a primary school principal consist of many important qualities that must be present in order to be able to effectively lead the school and ensure that it fulfills its objectives. Possessing strong leadership skills is also essential for any primary school principal. A good leader knows how to motivate staff members while also setting clear expectations of what needs to be accomplished within certain time frames. They should also have the ability to solve problems creatively, so that any issues or challenges they face can be approached from different angles before making a decision on how best to proceed.
This thesis will analyze the issues of both the burnout of primary school teachers and the professional competence of principals in Greek schools.
