In this paper, the concepts of leadership and leadership behavior in dealing with emergency situations are explored due to the particular demands they create. The decision-making process is analyzed and of course the concept of crisis and the ways to effectively prevent and deal with it through total quality management, risk analysis and the proper change management. These concepts are discussed at length in order to understand the application of effective leadership in a crisis situation.
