The subject of this work is the financial analysis of the hotel group SOFITEL, with its headquarters in Greece. The financial analysis concerns the current five-year period 2013-2017.
The reason for choosing this work concerns the importance of financial analysis with numerical indicators for monitoring the progress of a company or an industry. The reason that a hotel unit was chosen for this analysis lies in the fact of the importance of this sector for the development of the national economy, as it is widespread and constitutes a consistently dynamic resource for development, and is predicted to be the strong pole of the "heavy" domestic industry.
The methodology, which was applied for the analysis of the request, is the Financial Analysis, through financial indicators, in order to study this basic sector for the economy and development of a country and an economy.
In total, 14 financial indicators will be studied for the period 2013 to 2017, which are divided into efficiency indicators and debt & capital structure indicators.
The above method of analysis examines the data at a specific existing time and therefore draws safe and comprehensive conclusions about the economic course of the company.
