The tourism industry in Greece is constantly changing and evolving according to the conditions and requirements that exist. Now hotels are not just a place where the visitor uses only for the essentials. There is a need for more advanced services that offer the visitor a different experience of staying at each accommodation.
In this thesis, a case study is made for a small hotel in Ancient Epidaurus. A business plan is being drawn up for the transition of the "Magda Hotel Apartments" hotel to the Boutique Hotel category. This is due to the increasing demands presented by the rapid increase in visitors over the last decade and the increase in competition in terms of services. Also, there are changes in the habits of visitors that are oriented towards sustainable travel and remote work during the trip. Therefore, the aim is to achieve differentiation from the competition and satisfy the needs of the visitors. In the present study, the data for the number of visitors both in Greece and in the Peloponnese and Argolis are analysed. Also, reference is made to the tourist product of Greece, the Peloponnese and Ancient Epidaurus. Finally, the conditions for the inclusion of the hotel in the category of Boutique Hotels, the transition costs as well as the business plan for operating the hotel as a Boutique Hotel are presented.
