Education begins in a person's life from a very young age, as every person begins to be shaped as a personality from the first stages of its development. Gradually, the knowledge that the individual receives allows him to cultivate thinking and the process of learning, elements that are necessary to achieve a decent standard of living and ensure survival. And this, because through education and learning, man receives those supplies that allow him to work and thus have an income, but also to socialize in general. The process of learning does not end with age and man is able to learn new things and acquire more skills throughout his life if he so desires. For this reason, the term lifelong learning has been defined, which refers precisely to the process of learning from childhood to human maturity. For decades, lifelong learning has been an integral part of the national education strategies of countries worldwide, since it is recognized that a person who is constantly learning can better adapt to his daily life, as well as to the ever-increasing demands of his professional career. This thesis refers to the importance of lifelong learning in human life. In other words, it is sought to highlight the role of lifelong learning in key parameters of human development, such as professional development and personal satisfaction, but also to identify the modern strategies and approaches that are being developed internationally in this direction. For the completion of the work, which is a bibliographic review, both Greek and foreign language sources from books and scientific journals, as well as research results, were used.
