Coffee is undoubtedly the beverage that dominates people’s preferences in most countries and its consumption makes a huge contribution to global economy. It is mainly produced in developing countries, while it is consumed in large quantities in developed countries. As we all know, Greece is not among the producing countries due to its climatic conditions. However, it is one of the countries included in the members of the International Coffee Organization (ICO), in which countries that both produce and consume coffee are involved. However, Greece imports raw coffee. Over the recent years, this industry has significantly flourished in our country, since several coffeehouses have been developed.
In the present thesis, which is a master's thesis, the supply and demand of coffee is expanded in the primary, secondary and tertiary sectors internationally, emphasizing the Greek market and mainly the determining factors of the demand.
