The continuous evolution of technology could not fail to affect the supply chain industry as well. Over the years, more and more forms of technology are finding application in the supply chain and with major companies around the world, leading the way, by using them more and more in their everyday functions and paving the way for these technologies to be widely adopted almost by all companies worldwide.
In this thesis, the role and perspective of modern ways and technologies in the supply chain will be examined, as well as the gradual transition to the "New Era", where several professions related to the supply chain will either change dramatically, or likely disappear.
At the same time, the positive and negative effects that the application of these technologies will have will be analyzed, as well as the effects they will have on people's daily lives, as well as the ethics of these changes, since it leads to a different reality in the world, such as we know him to this day.
In the end, there will be examined the fact of what technologies are appropriate in any case of use and if the companies that will use them are going to gain advantage in oppose of their rivals. Economic- Social and Political factors will be taken into consideration for the final result.
