The processes of the supply chain are held responsible for the environment’s degradation in a very high degree. Therefore it is essential for the businesses to move towards a friendlier to the environment supply which can bring important results about both the environment and the businesses. The purpose of this assignment is the analysis of the two basic processes of the chain supply (transportation and warehouse management), focusing mainly to the urban web, and the way the green processes can actually deter possible issues that can arise. Later in the assignment references are made to the practices of the green logistics which are implemented in the cities and their results. Also attention is given to the fact that the development of the technology forms a significant factor which helps the green supply chain to be more effective.
To conclude this assignment search in bibliography and internet resources was conducted in order to gather all clues and information regarding the green supply chain aim and the new technologies that are there. In conclusion based on the bibliography that was conducted, it can be said that truly through the practices and the implementation that exist for the consolidation of a more green method, the environment’s quality can actually be improved.
