The object of study of this work is logistics in the field of strategic defence. The supply chain occupies an important position in the defence sector, as it plays an important role on the battlefield, while the readiness and capacity of the army depends on its degree of operation and performance.
At the same time, the importance of an integrated supply chain management system is inextricably linked to the ability of senior executives to establish appropriate partnerships with suppliers, as well as to train their personnel appropriately on modern weapons systems and the ever-changing technology developments.
The impact of innovative technologies in the field of the supply chain in the Armed Forces is considered to be of great importance, as troops must be able to be continuously supported with a modern and well-evaluated military supply chain, especially on the battlefield. Thus, it must have the appropriate information systems for the communication of the contractors, the suppliers, the competent officials of the Government, the highest officials of the Army and in general all those involved connected with the proper operation of the military supply chain.
In this direction, appropriate actions must be taken to integrate the supply chain with the appropriate technology, such as the ΄΄blockchain΄΄, which contributes significantly to the modernization of the Armed Forces. Accordingly, to select the appropriate suppliers and partners to cover the requirements of the supply chain, with certified materials, while the appropriate planning is drawn up to balance the quality and the cost of operating the supply chain.
Only in the case that there is appropriate planning, without considering individual goals, combined with the strong interest of the competent officials to put the safeguarding of national sovereignty as a first priority, then it is possible to give the appropriate emphasis to the proper operation, as well as the high performance of the military supply chain.
