The subject of this Master Thesis is the presentation of the ESG criteria and the 17 Goals of Sustainable Development. More specifically is analyzed, the way they affect investments and the general economy of societies. The three Pillars of the ESG criteria, the factors that make up them and the gradations of these criteria are also analyzed. Based on modern challenges and everyday problems they face, a set of controls is dictated that is applied to investment decisions in today's society, encouraging Sustainable Development on the part of companies, and what impact there is on future generations. As one of the new most developing sectors, the risks posed by the above criteria are presented and how they can be solved and overcome in the future. Through the formulation of a questionnaire, a primary survey was conducted that was addressed to Greek companies that have included the criteria in their ideology, recording their view on the ESG criteria both in terms of their existence and in terms of the integration of these criteria in all the production processes of the enterprise.
