The present thesis concerns a business plan for the company ANOLIVE and
refers to the organic cultivation of olives and the promotion of organic
olives in the market. The Company of the present study is a small business,
is located in Itea, Fokida and is possessed by its family character. Table
olive sector is one of the most dynamic and extrovert sectors of the Greek
economy, with a significant contribution to Greek employment. Greece has
excellent varieties of table olives, being unique in the world.
Based on the analysis and evaluation of the business plan, which will have
a five-year time horizon, it was found that the business idea is an
advantageous move from a financial point of view. However, from the
sensitivity analysis it became apparent that if the annual rate of change
of sales is less than 3%, the Net Present Value will become negative and
the success of the plan is doubtful. This makes it even more imperative to
draw up an effective and aggressive sales plan that will minimize
deviations from targets. Finally, the viability of the plan appeared not to
be threatened by any changes in the interest rate.
