Abstract
The study of social mobility is directly linked to the study of various social and economic phenomena such as educational inequalities, equal opportunities in jobs, income inequality, level of education.
The purpose of this research is to investigate whether the level of education of parents and their profession affects the overall educational outcome of children, their admission to higher education and ultimately their professional status. Through the investigation at the level of three generations, it is expected to show a development both at the level of education and at the professional level. To investigate this, a questionnaire survey of 100 people was conducted, followed by a statistical analysis of their responses.
The research showed that one's future educational-professional status is greatly influenced by the level of education of one's parents. Through the intergenerational recording of the educational level, it was shown that there is a positive development in terms of the level of education (higher education) and the choice of profession (service sector).
