The purpose of this Thesis is to create a complete theoretical and experimental proposal for a painting exhibition, using new technologies in a museum of Contemporary Art. The 4 Seasons Project aims to enrich the scientific view on the modern museum as well as the applications of empirical research on the design of audiovisual installations in Art Spaces.
Using Sketch Up and Unity as technology tools, as well as using building materials such as the image (collection of paintings) and sound (sounds of nature), we tried to create an installation in a Virtual Reality environment.
Properly selected sounds and their synchronization with the artworks contributed in the construction of interpretive scenarios which were formed in the context of an interpretive strategy, necessary for the holistic Art perception on display.
The primary and final goal was to upgrade visitor’s museum experience.
