Employees are one of the most fundamental and critical assets of any business. For this reason the achievement of the goals of each entity is inextricably linked to their performance. The management, therefore, in order to enhance their efficiency but also to maintain it, develops remuneration systems, incentives for psychological elevation and recognition, incentive methods and investment of large sums for the training and education of its employees. The application and observance of the above factors offers an exceptional strategic advantage contributing to the viability and prosperity of the business. In this dissertation is presented the branch of the pharmaceutical industry that has deviations from other sectors and something has different requirements as well as scientifically advanced staff. The challenges of the external business environment make the pharmaceutical sector one of the most competitive and innovative. That being said, pharmaceutical entities need to have an administration that highlights and inspires its employees to carry out their business goals. Of course, there is a great development, especially in Greece, regarding the activities of the human resources department in the pharmaceutical sector. It is estimated that in the future the recruitment of executives who will specialize in motivating employees in pharmaceutical companies will increase sharply and the functions of the human resources department will be strategically intensified.
