The purpose of this research is to investigate and attribute the spread of digital transformation in the present area and especially in the modern business environment. More specifically, the research aims to present the main advantages that digital transformation offers to companies, which are rushing to adopt digital media tools and applications to enhance their competitiveness and consolidation in the market.
Additionally, it analyzes some of the disadvantages, which, as it turns out, diminish compared to the positives associated with digital change, as well as the ways to deal with and avoid them to ensure a smooth adaptation. Through all this, research highlights the importance and need for digital business maturity, which is now considered particularly urgent, not only due to the rapid technological spread, but especially due to external factors, such as the spread of the pandemic, which has led to significant
disturbances in the operation and operation of businesses.
For this purpose, a primary questionnaire survey was conducted. In this survey, 100 Greek employees in companies with different fields of action, accepted the challenge of participation. Their contribution through the recording and analysis of their responses contributed catalytically to the conduct of research findings. Indeed, the majority of businesses today are increasingly turning to digitization, and new data from the global post-viral disruption have made the use of digital media the main tool for implementing new operating measures. business. The penetration of teleworking, the digital connection and interaction of employees and businesses themselves with their customers, are just a few new models, which require digital compliance and the integration of new digital solutions, and which are currently used by all business premises to pursue corporate mission and business objectives. Therefore, as this research will show, it can be said with certainty that most companies have accepted the digital transformation and now have digital solutions in their existing business processes and strategies.
