A key issue in educational research and policy is educational change. The pedagogical
transformation aims at the progress of the educational sector by any means. There is a great
deal of literature on pedagogical transformation, and this study, both theoretical and
experimental, collaborates in the field by meeting questions about what educational
transformation is, why it is so intractable, and how we can do it.
The paper analyzes the literature on the studies for educational change that has taken place
worldwide from 1960 until today and concludes with the situation of the educational system of
Greece and the changes that it has achieved.
The quantitative research done in this work is important, with a sample of 50 people,
consisting of teachers, students and guardians as the results of this research were judged
objectively and qualitatively and will help in further studies on the educational change in the
Greek education system.
