Abstract
With the elaboration of this paper we want to identify the necessary conditions for successful use of ICT in secondary education and study the attitude of teachers regarding the contribution of Information and Communication Technologies in secondary education. It is also important to know the importance of teacher training and the intention or not for additional training. In our time, the role of ICT is crucial in the field of information, communication and education (Bruce, 2008). Considering the impact on education, the key challenge is based on take full advantage of technological innovations to promote different learning methods, showing respect for linguistic, social and cultural diversity. ICT is an essential tool for introducing educational reforms (Pelgrum, 2001) and the necessary intervention in the educational system of a country. By utilizing ICT in secondary education and in the educational system in general, the development of students' creative-critical thinking, the change of teaching practice, the process of Learning and communication is achieved (Bruce, 2008). The relationships, attitudes and perceptions of the teachers regarding the application of ICT in the school are presented. We will see that according to the results of our research teachers are more than positive in the use of ICT and intend to use them during their teaching. The use of ICT to be successful should be linked to the quality of teaching, the optimal approach to the subject, the cooperation of teachers and the evaluation of their teaching.
