Abstract
The purpose of this work is to create an application on Android, useful for everyone since it has an interactive map, where users can add or see events related to allergen substances (e.g., environmental). It can be also used as a personal assistant, for people suffering from any kind of allergies. The name of the application is ‘Allergen App’.
Allergies are a very common condition in humans, with symptoms ranging from mild to very severe, which can even lead to death. From a young age we can detect if there are any substances to which we are allergic, and if there are, how strong the allergic reaction is to them.
As mobile phones are an integral part of our lives now, we can use them as tools in the field of health, with great success. There are many applications in the market, aimed at a field of medicine, in order to provide news, information and in some cases first aid, to which each of us can access, in a few seconds from our mobile phone. The Allergen App is such an application, where we will analyze it in detail below, from the point of view of the user (end user) as well as from its technical point of view.
