Abstract

This dissertation focuses on the analysis of data and indicators related to the development of the construction sector both in Greece and in the Regional Unit of Lefkada for the period 2011-2020. In addition, the factors that influenced in the past and will influence the construction sector are presented and the prospects of the sector for Greece and for Lefkada are reflected. Based on the above, a forecast is made for the new buildings in Lefkada for the year 2021 through the statistical package Statgraphics. Lefkada, which is the study area, over the years witnessed residential development, with the creation of new buildings. In the near future, it is estimated that the construction sector of the Regional Unit of Lefkada will continue to grow, because a large number of factors will have a positive effect on "local" construction activity. This estimate is also verified through the forecasts concerning the new constructions of Lefkada in the year 2021.
