The Dissertation explores the relationship between politics and political
institutions with the development of financial markets to incorporate the
concepts that explain the connection between these factors. Applying a
systematic review of the literature, the study concludes that financial systems
can contribute to economic growth by providing useful tools for effective risk
management.
In times of crisis, such as the 2008 crisis or the current COVID-19 crisis,
economic, political, and sociological variables are intertwined as economic
collapse can lead to social and political collapse. Therefore, as the current
COVID-19 pandemic continues, policymakers should constantly focus on
strengthening financial systems and improving the resilience of the global
financial system to ensure political and social stability through economic stability
and prospect.
