The present study of the Master’s Thesis presents the general theoretical framework of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). Additionally, there is a presentation of Bulgaria as a host country of foreign direct investments from the 1990s to the present era of the COVID-19 pandemic. Subsequently, the analysis of GDP of Bulgaria with fixed prices for the year 2017 and the inflows of Foreign Direct Investment in Bulgaria for the period 1990-2019 is conducted using the Econometrics and the SPSS 17 package. Afterwards, the cases of Thrace Group and Thrace Ipoma S.A. are analyzed with the use of the available data. Finally, the last chapter concerns an analysis of conclusions and of topics which should be investigated.
