The purpose of this paper is to measure the level of job satisfaction of Primary and Secondary education teachers in Greece, and to investigate the most important factors that affect it. The theoretical clarification of the term is done first, followed by empirical research. The research was conducted in February - March 2021, among 207 teachers across the country, who are the sample of the survey. The research tool used was a structured questionnaire with scale closed-ended questions, which included the Spector Job Satisfaction Survey. The results of the research show that the main aspects of work that cause dissatisfaction are remuneration, promotion and further benefits, while the main dimensions of work that cause satisfaction are the nature of work, colleagues and supervision. The score that concerns the overall job satisfaction of the teachers, indicates neutrality.
