The present document is the graduate thesis in the context of Master Degree (M.Sc.) in “Advanced
Informatics and Computing Systems” of the Department of Informatics of the University of Piraeus. The
objective of this work lies in the joint of Mobile Computing systems and Artificial (AI) domain. The
purpose of this dissertation is the development of an Android ecosystem application that will enable the
user to capture pictures using his device camera, send it to the system server, apply the transformation
using a trained Neural Network and retrieve the result of this transformation. The transformed image
will be a Cartoon representation of the real-world image.
