The present study aims to examine whether ethnocentrism is an obstacle to the development of education to human rights in Greek primary education. In this context, the individual objectives related to human rights were identified through the detailed program of the courses that are currently taught in the Greek primary school. The results showed that the issue of human rights is covered efficiently through the targeting context in the curriculum. However, the fact is that even today the ethnocentric element is existing in the techniques that various subjects are taught in the Greek school, this may explain the attempt of some international organizations to enhance human rights education with specific means and tools.
