We are at the beginning of the so-called 4th Industrial Revolution. People are forced, due to the huge volume of information and systems but also the ever-increasing productive demand, to let the execution of a large percentage of work on machines (robotic systems, computers, smart automatic systems) and they focus on monitoring, research and development. The thesis has as a theoretical background of project management and focuses on the theoretical development through examples, of modern equipment maintenance processes in industrial environments and their optimization through the "CMMS" software.
