We studied thoroughly some of the most popular vulnerability assessment tools, emphasizing on those that are open source, testing their results and additional functionalities. Different tools provided different results depending on their capabilities on finding vulnerabilities as well as managing them. Thus we created a tool that assists the vulnerability management process by adding the functionality of comparing consecutive scanning reports and providing real-time notifications / reports.
