Abstract
Transport and supply chain processes cover a wide range of business activities such as
procurement, strategy, material handling, packaging, storage, distribution channels,
markets, transport, inventory management, order processing, customer service). Their
coordination creates both organizational and technological problems that need to be
addressed and resolved. In particular, there is a need for a technology platform
capable of managing all trade and exchanges of information that companies perform
between themselves.
The transport sector is a field with clearly defined functions, within which dynamic
subsystems operate and evolve, the Logistics Service Providers. In today's times,
technology applications and information systems are the driving force of the industry,
facilitating the smooth flow of goods, information and money. The necessity of
information systems is obvious for the development and operation of both individual
entities in the industry.
