This paper analyzes the technological developments in the field of supply chain and warehouse processes, examining if these developments have contributed to the evolution of the financial performance of the organizations. Key elements are described and analyzed (digital transformation, information systems, ERP systems, warehouse management systems). Also, the paper analyses how Carlsberg Group can benefit from the use of modern WMS systems. The results of the analysis showed that the brewery needs to make some changes, in order to install WMS systems and the use of these systems could bring significant benefits to the brewery, such as increase in speed and productivity, reduce in working time and human error, improvements in quality control processes, increase in quality standards, monitor of the warehousing processes and stocks in real time. All of these lead to the improvement of relations between the consumer and the brewery. Also, the Carlsberg could have many benefits from the use of barcodes.
