Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is one of the most common disorders of the gastrointestinal tract. The disease is characterized by chronic acid reflux which flows back from the stomach to the esophagus, manifests itself through several esophageal and extraoesophageal symptoms that complicate patients’ daily life and causes problems that can lead to the development of esophageal cancer. Τhis study aims to evaluate the health-related quality of life of patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease, based on the International Health Measurement Questionnaire EQ5D and to correlate demographic and clinical data with it.
