This paper focuses on the design of an interactive web page that demonstrates various types of venues for the users to reserve to host seminars and other events or lectures. It has a role classification system to grant certain privileges to different types of users and each venue varies, depending on its name, position, capacity and other characteristics. Privileged users, that is users that organize events, can create, reschedule or even cancel events dynamically through a software system that is designed to connect all user actions and apply the resulting outcome to an interactive calendar, where each event grants its place.
The aforementioned system offers a wide range of functionality, regarding user verification, as well as communication between managers (people that organize events) and guests, in order to achieve seamless operation of the event registration and scheduling process. It includes an e-mail and cell-phone number verification tool, while it checks if any of them belongs to another user. The system also checks for blank fields during the user registration process and grants access to users that want to schedule an event, according to venue availability. Registered managers of events can also communicate with their hosts in case of rescheduling or cancelling their events, through e-mails.
