The subject of this thesis was chosen after careful consideration and especially due to lack of extensive research on Mobbing in the workplace. The purpose of this study, in terms of bibliographic research, is primarily to discuss and analyze the various definitions underlying Moral Harassment. These definitions, formulated at various times, have lead to disputes over how Ethical Harassment can accurately be defined and its distinction from Sexual Harassment and Bullying. Subsequently, an attempt is made to investigate the current legislative framework for Ethical Harassment mainly in Greece, but also in other European countries. Additionally, particular emphasis is placed on methods of harassment and hostile behavior, whereby victims seek to embarrass their victims and violate their dignity. At a later stage, the prosecution - victim relationship is discussed with further reference to whether employees are harassed by their bosses, or vice versa. At the same time, it was deemed necessary to record and present the stages of Ethical Harassment as described by Heinz Leymann, Herald Ege and Einarsen, with particular emphasis placed on the profile of the perpetrator, the victim, the causes and contributory factors to Moral Harassment. It was essential firstly to illustrate the effects of the phenomenon on the health of the victims, secondly to report the characteristics of the victims of abuse, and thirdly to identify policies for the prevention of the phenomenon. In the second part of the research, to practically investigate the extent of this phenomenon, questionnaires were used as a main tool for data collection. These questionnaires were completed by private and public sector workers with a minimum of three years' service focusing on and analyzing the reactions of people who were subjected to ethical harassment
