Creative Economy is a new form of economy that has appeared in modern literature over the last decade, presenting a new growth model. The reconciliation of the advanced know-how and the technological innovation, as well as the exploitation of the achievements of the cultural and creative phenomena, define the strategy of the Creative and Cultural Industries (CCIs) in both developed post-industrial societies and emerging economies. While broadening the original conceptual approach of the Cultural Economics, the Cultural and Creative Industries have developed their structure by enriching the content of their activity and suggesting the exploitation of the contemporary cultural and symbolic production, beyond the static inheritance, meanwhile delivering sustainable growth in the cultural and creative sectors, and therefore in the economies of the countries. Furthermore, approaches of concepts, such as Creative City, Creative Workers, Creative Clusters, form an innovative framework for the sustainable development of a smart economy, also known as the Economy of Knowledge, where creation is customized and adds value to societies and states, in a protected legal environment, measuring tangible and intangible cultural heritage, as well as creative production in economic terms. The main purpose of this essay is to pinpoint as precisely as possible the local cultural and creative sectors and to quantify the individual contribution of each branch to the Greek economy. Moreover, it aims to identify the degree of concentration of the Cultural and Creative Industries at the regional level and their contribution to the local community, as well as to highlight local particularities and constraints and to point out the future growth expectations in the current unstable economic environment. In conclusion, a support framework is suggested, to promote the dynamic link among Creativity, Culture, and Economy, inside an ecosystem that consists of interaction, cooperation, and partnership among creative and cultural institutions
